When creating a network, you must decide which route the data should take when moving through it. Select one of the routing protocols discussed in this unit’s reading and explain it in detail. Use the Internet to gather additional information. Your post should:
- Identify and briefly explain what the protocol does.
- Identify the pros and cons of using this routing protocol.

Select a network device—a router/switch or a server—introduced to you in your readings and, using the Internet, conduct research on the device to familiarize yourself with its cost and use. In your initial post, address the following:
- What device did you select? Briefly describe its use.
- What type of needs would this device meet?
